■ Associations & Intercollegiate Activities

The purpose of the Student Association of the English Department is to unify the strength of the department, enhance communication between teachers and students and bridge the gap between our teachers, students and the school authorities. The Student Association has sponsored a series of extra-curricular activities, which are: Freshmen Welcoming Camping Trip, Foreign Languages Week, English Night, writing and speech contests, speeches made by celebrities, Holiday Service Group, etc. Among them, the annual Senior Play is the most striking performance in which all the teachers and students of the department have done their utmost to cooperate with one another and plan ahead for the best. Exceptionally active extra-curricular activities held by clubs enrich students’ college lives and the contents of knowledge.

Aside from these activities sponsored by the university, those held by other colleges and universities take place very often.
