■ Student Counseling

Academic Counselling

  1. Academic advising is provided on the E-Campus digital platform for students registered for specific courses.
  2. The faculty have to be on campus at least four days, to teach at least 3 days, and hold office hours (6 hours per week) to assist students’ academic needs.
  3. Academic Alert System: Early notifications are issued to students (and their parents) with excessive absences and failure in mid-term examinations by instructors and advisors.
  4. Guidance and counseling are provided by graduate students offering academic assistance for students in need.
  5. We encourage our students to minor, or double major in other fields. We believe that students who have skill sets in two areas may have a distinct advantage in a competitive marketplace.

Guidance and Psychological Support

  1. Senior students offer support for younger students. The Student Association also helps connect and support students in the English Department.
  2. Advisors provide insights to students on various life aspects, such as peer or family interactions.
  3. Military instructors and counselling psychologists on campus provide support and advice to find relief from emotional distress or explore learning strategies.
  4. The department is also concerned about students’ financial situation. Resources such as different scholarships and work-study grants are offered to assist them.
